About the Role

The Human Resource Specialist provides a broad range of confidential human resources support services, with a primary focus on recruitment and retention. Reporting through the Human Resources Department, this role works in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures and serves as a trusted partner to leaders and candidates alike.

You will help drive innovative recruitment strategies, support workforce planning initiatives, and contribute to retention efforts that strengthen our organization and culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead full-cycle recruitment processes
  • Develop and post engaging job advertisements
  • Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support hiring managers
  • Ensure recruitment practices align with hospital policies and employment legislation
  • Maintain accurate documentation and confidential employee records
  • Support onboarding and retention initiatives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and candidate experience

Qualifications

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation considered an asset
  • Current membership with the Canadian Human Resources Professional Association considered an asset
